Dynamics of the Magnitude, Breadth, and Depth of the Antibody Response at Epitope Level Following Dengue Infection

By July 27, 2023May 16th, 2024No Comments

With nearly half of the world’s population living in dengue-risk areas, the disease poses a major public health problem. At the same time, the serology-based diagnosis of dengue is problematic because of the high antigenic resemblance between dengue and other flaviviruses, such as Zika and yellow fever. To address this challenge, this study was focused on epitopes that can be used to develop diagnostics assays tailored towards the Dengue virus. For this purpose, they had a large custom peptide array developed to run patient vs control samples. BISC helped with the design of the peptide array, provided a custom analysis pipeline, and supported further analysis to identify potentially valuable biomarkers.
